SwarGanga Music Festival was started in 2005. It takes place during the fourth quarter of each year in the town of Thane, India. Adwait Joshi as a founder of the organization personally visits India to host the festival. The festival is financially sponsored by Adwait Joshi and his family, with the help of a few enthusiastic donors in the USA and India. If you wish to donate or sponsor the event, please .

The idea of this festival is to promote young and upcoming artists in the field of Indian Classical Music. The artists for the annual festival will be chosen based on applications received each year. In order to apply towards this festival please prepare an applications that includes the following items.
  1. SwarGanga Music Festival Application Form
  2. Resume/Biodata of the performing artist
  3. An audio CD/Cassette which contains atleast two 15 min (approx) clips of a vilambit alaap of two different raags, and three 10 min (approx) clips of drut bandishes of different raags highlighting the specialities of your style.
  4. If you perform any semi classical pieces such as thumri, dadra, hori, tappa, natyageet please include a seperate CD/Cassette titled Semi-Classical Music (this is optional).

Applications missing any of the above mentioned items will be considered incomplete and wont be considered for the festival. Applications received after 30th June each year will be consider for the following years music festival. Selection of the artists is strictly based on the decision of the selection committee and is final. If your are not among the selected artist for the year, we would to apologize for the same and consider your application for the following year.
