For this purpose we have registered SwarGanga as a 501c3 (tax exempt) organization in the US and India (with 80G status pending). This was all started by Adwait Joshi our of pure passion to give back to the North Indian Classical Music community. Since 2005 we have promoted a lot of young and upcoming artists in the field of North Indian Classical Music and made our website in such a way that we can answer most of your questions about Indian Classical Music. 80% of our website is free. You can create an account and start usign it. We also offer premium content that you have to buy. Whatever money is generated through the memberships is used for charity and digital documentation. SwarGanga currently has over 2 million hits from 147 different countries every year. Thanks to our visitors, well wishers, sponsors and donors for supporting towards this cause.

SwarGanga School of Music was started in 2008 in Duluth (a suburb of Atlanta) Georgia, USA. Since its inception in 2008, we has gotten a lot of good feedback. Introducing the SwarGanga Forum on Indian Classical Music & Dance

You might already know, but the entire concept of SwarGanga started via a yahoogroup on 18th October 2004. Since then it has grown to be one of the biggest website on Indian Classical Music, some people call it the encyclopedia of ICM some people call it the google of ICM. Today we are announcing that this yahoo group will be discontinued from 1st September 2010. Instead we are starting SwarGanga Forum on https://www.swarganga.org/forum a place where you can ask questions and are guaranteed to receive an answer!
