Hollving is disciple of Pandit Shubhendra Rao, from the tradition of the Senia-Maihar Gharana (Ustad Baba Allauddin Khan and Pandit Ravi Shankar).

In 2001 he went to India to study sitar under the guidance of his Guru Pandit Shubhendra Rao one of the best sitar players of his generation.

An Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR), scholarship holder from 2001-2005.

A National Fund for Culture and Arts Fellowship holder from 2005-2008 (FONCA), to study sitar in the Guru-Shishya Paramara.

CURRENTLY HE HAS THE FELLOWSHIP "CREADOR ESCÉNICO 2010-2011" GIVEN BU THE GOVERMENT OF MEXICO THROUGH THE NATIONAL FUND FOR ARTS AND CULTURE (FONCA) AND SINCE DECEMBER 2010 HE WAS INVITED TO GIVE THE COURSE OF SITAR IN THE INDIAN CULTURAL CENTER OF MEXICO CITY

Hollving is one of the few foreigners dedicated to the Indian classical music that had the unique chance to perform in India live to all the Indian country through NDTV and to more than one hundred countries through All Indian Radio.

Hollving has performed in:

F r a n c e : Mandapa Centre; Paris; Festival du Bourges; Cours de la Visitation, Thonon-les-bains, Ville de Yvoire and Château de Ripaille. (2006, 2010, 2011)

M e x i c o : Centro Nacional de las Artes, Conservatorio de las Rosas, Michoacán, Centro de las Artes San Luis Potosí, Festival Rara Avis 2009, Festival de Música Antigua, San Luis Potosí, El Lunario, El Plaza Condesa.

At the same time he gives workshops of Indian classical music in different conservatories and music schools.
