Srinjoy Mukherjee

Srinjoy Mukherjee is an sarangi artist. Known for contributions to Hindustani classical music, performance, teaching, and repertoire building.

At present Srinjoy is a Ganda-Bandh (a traditional ceremony of acceptance between a teacher and his most able student) student of the highly acclaimed Sarod player, Ustad Amaan Ali Khan. He gets occasional valued guidance from Sarod maestro, Ustad Amjad Ali Khan. All year round, he performs at various platforms and festivals in India and abroad. One of his significant aspects in Sarod is his experimental ‘Jugalbandis’ with different musical instruments and vocals, like Sarod – santoor, Sarod – Piano & synthesizer, Sarod – flamenco Guitar, Sarod – vocal, Sarod – pareddrums etc. which has been highly appreciated in the musical world. He has also been endorsed by ‘RealNet Broadband’ – Internet service-provider Company of West Bengal, as their Brand Music Ambassador, with national television advertisements to follow soon.
