Gargee Siddhant Dutta

Born in a musical oriented family of Assam. Her grandfather was an able sitar player and composer. She received a National Cultural Talent Search Scholarship. She began her training under the late B. K. Phukan, a reputed musician and musicologist. Gargee then began training with Pandit Jasraj ji. Gargee has been a featured artiste either as solo or in vocal support to Pandit Jasraj ji in such prestigious conferences. She has earned numerous accolades in India and internationally from listeners, musicians, and critics alike. Gargee is a graded artiste of All India Radio and Television. In 1996 she was awarded the prestigious musical award "Surmani" by the Sur Singer Samsad, an elite institution in India.
