Manasi Chandorkar

Born in 1960, she started learning vocal classical at the age of 9 from Pt. Uttamrao Agnihotri and later from Pt. Nathrao Neralkar in Aurangabad. Under their guidance she became "Sangit Visharad" at an early age of 13. She has completed B.A. in music and drama and M.A. in music. She is the recipient of several awards in music and drama. Now settled in Pune for the past 20 years, she is the disciple of Dr. Shobha Abhyankar who is grooming her in "Mewati tradition". Manasi has peformed in many concerts. Having a very melodious voice which is eminently suitable for mewati style, she has great capacity to enthrall the audience. She has a characteristic style of her own coupled with an impressive voice and all the essentials embellishments that go to make sweet music.
