Biography
Ravindra hails from Panaji, the capital of Goa, a state in india. His father was a well known tabla player and a teacher. Ravindra started taking tabla training from his father at an early age, later on shifted to harmonium and at the age of 10 started taking training in sitar from a local Guru. After passing out the secondary school certificate, came to Mumbai and started taking professional training from renowned sitarist Ustad Abdul Halim Jaffer khan that was period between 1979 to 1985. Then got attracted towards Baaz of another great sitarist Ustad Shahid Parvez and till date is the 'GandaBandh Shagird' of him. Ravindra is performing independently from 1995 and now is a renowned young sitarist having participated in many Indian and international concerts.
