Priyal Sathe

Priyal Sathe is an upcoming young Hindustani classical vocalist in the country. Endowed with a sweet and rich vibrant voice coupled with immense dedication to her chosen vocation, Priyal’s performances have earned her wide acclaim for powerful exposition with a highly melodic appeal. Priyal was initiated into Hindustani music at a very young age. Her formal training began under the tutelage of Pt. Mohan Karve from Pune and then she completed her Masters in music from University Of Pune under renowned vocalist Mrs. Arati Ankalikar Tikekar. Currently she is fortunate to be receiving advanced training from veteran singer of Gwalior gharana, Pt.Sharad Sathe. Priyal also excels in semi-classical and light music genres like Thumri, dadra, kajri, hori, chaiti, abhang, bhajans and with voice so adaptive she presents all these along with Khayal at ease. She has completed bachelors with English and masters with Music from University of Pune and is now a research student from University of Pune. Priyal has participated and won various competitions and has been awarded with renowned scholarships. She has performed at many major and minor cities of India and won accolades for the same. Blessed with a soulful voice, she has also given Playback for various plays, jingles etc. Also Excels in Japanese Language and is the First Indian Singer to Perform a Full Solo Concert of Japanese Songs in India.She was invited to perform a Japanese song for a Japanese reality show at NTV studio Tokyo by NTV Japan, a leading television channel of Japan twice in the year 2013.
