Rafique Khan

Rafique Khan is a grandson of Sitar-Ratna Ustad Rahimat Khan, a veteran Sitar player of Beenkar Bande Ali Khan Gharana. He hails from the family of musicians from Dharwad, Karnataka. He has learnt Sitar from his father Ustad Abdu lkarim Khan and he is a top grade artist working on the staff of All India Radio at Mangalore. He belongs to the one and only traditional family of Sitar players in southern India who has populrised the instrument Been and Sitar in the south India.
