Biography
<p><strong>Achapal Miya or Ghulam Hussain Khan</strong> is an Hindustani classical vocalist. Ghulam Hussain Khan of Delhi was better known as 'Miya Achapal'. Ghulam Hussain Khan composed many Khayals with pen name 'Achapal'.</p><p>He is said to be the founder of 'Delhi Gharana' of Hindustani music. He was appointed as music teacher to Bahadur Shah Jaffer, the last Mughal emperor (1836 - 1850). (Bahadur Shah Jaffer also composed few Khayal and Thumris with pen name 'Shokh Rang'.)</p><p>Achapal Miyan was Guru of Ustad Tanras Khan (son of Kadirbaksh of Dasna, who was court singer for Shah Alam II, Mughal king during 1759 - 1806) and Tanras Khan also composed many Khayals.</p>
