Biography
Ustad Ghulam Hussain Khan of Delhi was better known as 'Miya Achapal'. Ghulam Hussain Khan composed many Khayals with pen name 'Achapal'.
He is said to be the founder of 'Delhi Gharana' of Hindustani music. He was appointed as music teacher to Bahadur Shah Jaffer, the last Mughal emperor (1836 - 1850). (Bahadur Shah Jaffer also composed few Khayal and Thumris with pen name 'Shokh Rang'.)
Achapal Miyan was Guru of Ustad Tanras Khan (son of Kadirbaksh of Dasna, who was court singer for Shah Alam II, Mughal king during 1759 - 1806) and Tanras Khan also composed many Khayals.
