Rohan Gawade (born 1992) is an Hindustani classical vocalist. Rohan Narayan Gawade is a promising emerging talent in the realms of Hindustani Classical and Devotional Music, hailing from Aurangabad in Maharashtra, India. Rohan holds an educational background in Informational Technology and currently serves at Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University in Aurangabad.
His musical journey took shape with the pursuit of Sangeet Alankar, which he successfully accomplished at the renowned Akhil Bhartiya Gandharva Mahavidyalay Mandal in Miraj. Furthering his musical education, Rohan earned a Master's degree in Music from the Department of Music at Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, Aurangabad. His exceptional academic performance earned him a coveted Gold Medal from the university.
Rohan's initial foray into music commenced under the expert tutelage of Smt. Kamal Joshi of Beed, Maharashtra. As he honed his skills and delved deeper into the world of music, he sought guidance from Pt. Vishwanath Dasharathe, an esteemed figure in the Gwalior Gharana, is based in Aurangabad.
Since 2012, Rohan has been fortunate to receive mentorship from Pandit Krishnendra Wadikar, a representative of the Kirana Gharana, hailing from Hubli. Under Pandit Wadikar's guidance, Rohan has cultivated a distinctive reputation for his rendition of devotional bhajans, particularly his endearing interpretation of Pandit Bhimsen Joshi's Abhangwani.
