Abida Parveen

Abida Parveen is a renowned Sufi singer. She also sings Khayal, Thumri, Kafi (Sindhi poetry), Ghazal, Qawwali. She was born in Goharabad (Larkana, Sindh, Pakistan) and initially trained in music by her father Ghulam Haider who too was a singer. Later she got instructions in music under Ustad Salamat Ali of Sham-Chorasi Gharana. She has performed widely in almost all continents. She was announced as 'Peace Ambassador' by SAARC.
