Biography

Pamalka is a Vocalist, Composer and a multi-instrumentalist from Sri Lanka who is the Founder and the Director of SASANI Institute For Music - Sri Lanka. He is well trained in Vocal, Esraj, Dilruba, Sarangi, Taus, Violin, Tabla and Harmonium. He started his musical journey with Sangeethacharya A. Higgoda and he is currently widening his musical knowledge under Vidushi Kala Ramnath. Pamalka has completed Sangit Nipun, Vadya Visharad exams of Bhatkhande Sangit Vidyapith, Lucknow with 1st division. He has been awarded the esteemed degree of 'Naad Sadhak' from Pt. Raghunath Talegaonker Trust, Agra. Pamalka was awarded in Lucknow three times. He also received many awards from Sri Lanka. He has a National record for winning 22 consecutive awards from Sri Lanka National youth services council. He is conducting online programs for musicians around the globe to popularize Hindustani Music.
