Meaning
Contemplate the Raga in this way – Make a point in knowing ascent & descent along with the consonances in the Raga (which make the Raga sounding interesting), then the features of Raga will be clear in shape. For improvising any Raga, one needs to embellish it with Swar-Alankars, i.e. permutations & combinations of notes, also one needs to elaborate a Raga in its specific movement (Chalan) and speed variation between the notes (Gati-Bheda), (All this grammatical perfection is not just enough, but) one should render the Raga with coloring it with emotions, then only the Raga is beloved (ManaBhaavan) of all! - so says the composer \'Chita\'.
Notes
Each consecutive line of this Bandish has 'Sama' on notes S R G M P D N S' is a specialty of this Bandish. This Bandish explains the basic characteristics of Raga is another important feature.
