surasaagara aparaMpaara
sura kee lahara meM DUba re |
baata banaa tU surase sarasa
surase saadha saMvaada tU
mana kee gaaMTha 'chita' khola re ||

जा रे शरन सुर साध ले
जा रे शरन सुर साध ले
सुरसागर अपरंपार
सुर की लहर में डूब रे ।
बात बना तू सुरसे सरस
सुरसे साध संवाद तू
मन की गांठ 'चित' खोल रे ॥
Meaning
Bow down to musical tone (So that) bow down to the God, The ocean of sound is matchless and inexhaustible So, plunge deep into the waves of sound. Communicate with tones (or communicate to the tones), Do have consonance within the tones, O \'Chit\' (penname of the composer), open up the hidden things in your mind with the help of the tones.
