Meaning
This bandish describes the origin of the universe through **Anahata Naad**, the eternal unstruck cosmic sound. It explains that from this primordial vibration, creation itself came into existence, and therefore one should meditate upon this divine sound within the inner self, or the “ghat” (the body and mind). By focusing inward with a purified and steady mind, one can experience this subtle sound and connect with the deeper spiritual essence that resides within all beings. In the antara, the composition explains that from this divine, formless (nirguna) Brahman arise the seven swaras, expressed here as **Kharaj (Sa), Rishabh (Re), Gandhar (Ga)** and the rest of the musical notes, which together form the system of **Aahata Naad**, the audible and structured sound used in music. These swaras are not separate from the divine but are manifestations of the all-pervading Brahman that exists throughout the universe. The bandish beautifully conveys that music, sound, and creation are all expressions of the same universal reality, where the formless divine becomes perceivable through sound and musical expression.
