| Description | Pt. Bhishmadev Vedi is said to have been the first to contemplate improving the instrument by augmenting it with a string box like a harp attached to the top of the instrument. His disciple, Pt. Manohar Chimote later implemented this concept and also provided the name "Samvadini" to this instrument - this name has now gained widespread acceptance. |
