Ustad Shaik Dawood sahib was a tabla Ustad from Hyderabad. He started his training with Ustad Mohammed Khasim and later on learned from Ustad Alladiya Khan of Hyderabad and his sons, Ustad Mohammed Khan and Ustad Chote Khan. Through out his lifetime, he accompanied four generations of musicians including Ut. Vilayat Khan, Pt. Bhimsen Joshi, Pandit Jasraj, Ustad Abdul Halim Jaffer Khan, Ustad Wahid Khan sahib, Ustad Shahid Parvez, Pt. Ravishankar, Baswaraj Raj Guru, Pandit Motiram, Pt. Maniram, Ut. Abdul Karim Khan. Pt. Sawai Ghandarva, Ut. Amjad Ali Khan, Ut. Asad Ali Khan, Pt. Shivkumar Sharma, Pt. Hariprasad Chaurasia, Dr. N. Rajam and many more great masters of Indian Classical Music. |
