Masiyat Khan was second son & disciple of Mahammad Khan who was Tanras Khan’s disciple of Delhi Gharana. Masiyat Khan spent most of his life in Atrauli. In his late age, he took shelter under Nizam of Hyderabad in 1915 and died there circa 1920. He was a Khayal singer and used to compose Bandishes with pen-name Magan Piya. ‘Bin Dekhe Nahi Chain Nahi Awe’ in Raga Alhaiya Bilawal is his famous Bandish. |
