Milap Rane has been learning Hindustani Classical Vocal Music since the age of 6, under the tutelage of stalwart gurus like Dr. Shyam Mehta, Shri. Yogesh Deshmukh, Dr. Ram Deshpande and Shri. Hrishikesh Gangurde. He is currently receiving training under Pt. Vijay Sardeshmukh, a senior disciple of Pt. Kumar Gandharva of the Gwalior Gharana. He has been a regular performer at various stages all over India. An IndianRaga fellow for the year 2016, he also was awarded the Young Performer’s Scholarship by the Centre for Cultural Resources and Training, Govt. of India. Currently pursuing an M.S. in Music Technology at the Georgia Tech Center for Music Technology, Milap also loves Photography, Theatre, and Reading in his free time. |
