Akhil Jobanputra has been learning Hindustani vocals since the age of 3. Under the guidance of Pandit Jasraj ji, Akhil started his training at the Pandit Jasraj School of Music Foundation in Vancouver learning from Smt. Asha Lohia, and Dr. Amit Arya. Alongside that, he also took training under the guidance of Neeraja Aptikar (disciple of Dr. Vikas Kashalkar, Smt. Jayashree Ranade, & Pandit Shivajirao Bharati) in the stylistic disciplines of the Gwalior & Kirana Gharanas. Currently, he is receiving taalim from Dr. Pandit Arun Dravid, Pandit Sanjeev Abhyankar, and Shri Arijit Mahalanabis. |
