Pradeep Natekar started his vocal music training under Pt. Rajarambuwa Paradkar of the Gwalior gharana. Later on he culminated in a long lasting discipleship of 22 years under Sangeet Bhushan Pt. Ram Marathe who was a stalwart in all the three styles - Gwalior, Agra and Jaipur. Pt Ram Marathe ji's attachment to his disciple deepened when he decided to make him his son-in-law. Pt. Pradeep Natekar also received guidance from Pt. Madhukar Joshi, son of Pt. Gajananbuwa Joshi. Thus Panditji's gayaki integrates the best of Gwalior, Agra and Jaipur styles. |
