Geetika Umdekar is the granddaughter of late Pt. Balabhau Umdekar who was the court musician of Gwalior. Geetika is carrying forward her legacy of music and has performed in many prestigious music festivals including "Tansen Sangeet Samaroh" and "Sawai Gandharva Mahotsava Kundgol". Geetika has learned music from her father Pt. Shriram Umdekar and aunt Late Smt. Kamal Mandal. Geetika is very much capable of singing Khayal Gayaki, Tappa, Tarana, Thumri and other forms. Geetika distinguishes herself in terms of maintaining the unique style and purity of Gwalior Gharana.
